Dear Sitaram,
I have been a Friend of HKM since 1980 and was shocked to hear the news.
The best that I could do, staying in Thailand now, was to puttogether some random thoughts of mine for the blog....
***********************************************************************************
HKM ninna nenapugalu
.
Mohanji as the world knows him today was introduced to me by his brother Madhu, when we started our engineering.
He had been Mohana to me and we almost shared the same name and also shared the same year and month of birth.
He transitioned from being Mohana to HKM to Mohanji.
These are my random thoughts of a simple man who did great things and touched some of our lives in an unforgettable way and achieved greatness.
Our association enhanced and our joint work as Swayamsevak started when we launched the "Vishwakarma Technical Society" under the guidance of Sri Narahari, our professor at BMSCE and a Swayamsevak himself.
We were a bunch of like minded students wanting to get rid of the "College Politics" and involve in propogating the Sangh Culture and bring in access to technical subjects to the Engineering students in
Mohan was our representative from UVCE and his commitment to the cause was unquestionable.
He was always bubbling with enthusiasm and coming out with ideas and innovations in our team.
My relationship with Mohan strengthened when we joined MICO and worked "Side by Side".
His professionalism and his sense of Humor was superb.
He endeared himself with his dedication to work and at the same time maintained excellent relationships with all people around him.
He was one the few who could very easily remember the names and the background of people.
He used to fascinate me by genuinely talking to people as a part of their family.
Anybody who came in touch with him instantly made him a part of their family.
His hearty laugh was infectious and made us always smile.
Mohan's command over language helped us communicating difficult technical subjects to our work force at MICO very easily.
He was truly a "Svayam Sveekrutham Kantakaakeerna maargam.."
He used to make other problems a part of his. He was always there and could be counted up on.
It is said "Raaja dvaare Smashaanesha yaha thishtathi sa baandhavaha" and Mohan was a Badhu in that sense.
We parted our (almost) day to day interaction when I left MICO and he soon followed the suit, but for a truly noble cause.
Mohanji was born
..
My interaction with Mohanji since then, was over the e-mail and during visits to
His dedication, his empathy to the poor and the down trodden of the society and his sense of duty as a "Dharma Rakshaka" came out through his talks and mails.
He was concerned about the exploitation of the poor and the way they are being converted to other faiths by the lure of materialistic benefits.
His conviction was to work for these portions of the society and hence protect them from the exploitation and retention to the faith that they were born into.
It has been a shock to those of us who have interacted with him and still look at his Photo with a disbelief that he is no more with us to share our Joys and griefs.
Mohana, HKM, Mohanji we all miss you..
You came into our life like a jasmine wafted your fragrance for a while and left behind sweet senses and left us craving for more.
